1- Medical Coder* – Al Jalila Children Hospital
Job: Full Time
Location: Dubai, UAE

Job Responsibilities:

• Coding officer are responsible for correctly coding healthcare claims in order to obtain reimbursement from insurance companies
• To acquire and maintain comprehensive knowledge and skills in the identification and application of medical terminology and anatomical and physiological terms for the efficient use of ICD10 clinical coding.
• To extract clinical coding data from EMR , to allocate proper ICD coding , and allocating proper DRG weight and base rate
• Identifies self-learning needs and take initiative to meet those needs
• Serves as a role model for all staff assisting in promoting and sharing knowledge via mentorship and preceptorship programs in accordance with evidence-based practice.
• Promotes safe patient care and a safe environment by embracing a Culture of Safety and identifying proactively areas of risk and the timely reporting of adverse safety events.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor degree (preferably medical / Science background)
• Minimum three (3) recent years of experience with same role.
• Experience documenting in an electronic medical record an asset
