Description:
Dubai DC team is responsible and accountable for the overall management of the Dubai Distribution Center (DC). The responsibilities include but are not limited to forecasting, capacity planning”, supporting 3PL partners across all relevant operations (Inbound, Pick & Pack, Outbound, Returns, Special Handling, Store Openings, etc.), inventory Management and owning the logistics budget across all channels in line with adidas SLAs. The DC Manager leads the team to ensure a smooth, transparent, and robust connection between all relevant stakeholders from inside and outside of the organization regarding work- and information flow.
Job Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the DC & Outbound operations via management of the existing 3rd Party Logistics Provider (3PL); people management by setting challenging objectives and targets with longer term impact to the team and business stakeholders. Maintain existing warehousing and transportation contracts, negotiate new and renewals with service providers in coordination with Global Logistics, Global Procurement, Finance and NTP
- Responsible to align Inbound, Outbound & Return Forecasts with business and stakeholders, translate these into an execution plan, track and monitor accuracy and analyze trends.
- In close cooperation with 3PL, plan and align the warehouse capacity for outbound & returns.
- Own the planning, monitoring and management of Logistics budget related with DC, outbound, packaging material topics / operations. Create and maintain yearly budgets and monthly reports to senior management.
Job Requirements:
- University degree in Business Management or equal education within logistics
- Min. 7 years working experience; thereof 3 years of people leadership
- Proficient user of Microsoft Office applications, ERP/SAP, WMS
- Background in 3rd Party Logistics companies
