Job: Full Time
Location: Dubai, UAE
Description:
This position will serve as the primary point of contact for all logistics-related matters for the Corporate Procurement Team within the Eastern Hemisphere and will be responsible for the regional execution of the strategic direction established by the Director of Global Logistics. Key areas of focus for this role will be conducting RFQ’s across all modes of transport, ensuring appropriate carrier utilization, and monitoring carrier performance to ensure expected service levels are maintained. Additionally, this role will be the primary escalation point for any logistics matters encountered by the regional operations teams.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct RFQ’s across all modes of transport within the region
- Ensure negotiated rates are updated in the OTM system by the support team and test to verify accuracy
- Assist with regional OTM integrations
- Logistics process improvement
- Communication of key logistics initiatives throughout the region
Job Requirements:
- Demonstrable understanding of logistics industry nomenclature, standards, and practices.
- Ability to effectively communicate in English (verbally and written)
- Degree in relevant field
