Location: Dubai, UAE

Description:

The Editor will support in providing high levels of services for original content for Digital, Linear, promo, commercial teams and external clients. The Editor will be required to highlight any client needs, edit sessions or workflow challenges/efficiencies to the Project Lead and Line Manager. You may be required to work on simple compliance projects as well as working on complex offline or online projects. This role will also be required to log any technical or operational problems and includes Quality Assessment work.

Job Responsibilities:

• Digitize, edit original content from rushes, able to offline, online, Audio Mixing and grade shows using Final Cut Pro, Premier, After Effects and other Adobe packages and exporting as per Discovery/Fatafeat technical specs. Knowledge in Avid Media Composer (+symphony) is an advantage
• The Editor will be responsible to edit long form content as well as short form content independently.
• Perform edits according to Discovery/Fatafeat tech specs, edit instructions and style guides
• Engage with the Promo, Commissioning and Digital teams to maintain the look and feel of the Discovery channels

Job Requirements:

• Able to Offline and Online content using Final Cut Pro / Premier
• Perform graphics work using After Effects and other Adobe packages
• Grade and audio mixing on Final Cut Pro / Premier.
• Knowledge in Avid Media Composer (+symphony) is an added advantage
