Description:

The Programmer should be able to plan, organize and formulate efficient operational programs for numerical control machines through the application of established or pre-determined manufacturing engineering methods to provide optimum utilization of machine capabilities and tooling arrangements.

Job Responsibilities:

• Formulate efficient operational programs that maximize machine utilization and product quality to assure customer expectations are met.
• Complete and maintain the program documentation and file system.
• Be responsive to the short-term needs of the shop to keep the NC machines running at 100% efficiency.
• Contribute to the cost reduction program by actively seeking and reporting opportunities for reduced costs.

Job Requirements:

• Diploma/Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in CAM/NC Programming
• 6-8 years of experience in CAM Programming
• Must be proficient with CAM software (SolidCAM, MasterCAM, etc.)
• Must have an in-depth understanding of manufacturing processes such as Turning, boring, milling, drill & tap.
